The Heat® Vane, with its low profile and quiet flight, is ideal for bowhunting and 3D archery and is NASP approved. It quickly became popular for indoor spots and crossbow bolts as well.
Its low profile provides more cable clearance, and the ultra-stiff material the Heat Vane is made of prevents vane flutter for a smooth, silent arrow rotation.
When using with a fixed-blade broadhead, we recommend a four fletch. The Heat Vane measures 2.5" (63.5mm) in length, 0.41" (10.4mm) in height, and weighs an average of 6.1 grains (395mg).
Like all Bohning vanes, the base of the Heat Vane is pre-primed for optimal adhesion.
Due to the ultra-stiff material, we recommend using an instant glue and/or a fletching jig with high adhesion force such as Bohning's Tower Jig or Multi-Fletcher.
